This poster was a promotional piece created to highlight the Petal Dance's EP Release show at the Salem, Massachusetts, retro arcade bar. The design of the poster is inspired by a pixelated "Guitar Hero" PlayStation 2 video game cover. One of the popular games at BitBar is Guitar Hero, making this poster effective in drawing in video-game lovers. The Petal Dance logo is in a similar font to Guitar Hero. The sparkles to the side bring in the brand identity of Petal Dance. To give the video game effect, I stylized the "BitBar" font to appear pixelated. The rest of the information is organized using a visual hierarchy. The image of the band is one taken by me and edited into a black-and-white negative to look like Guitar Hero's game cover.
